Ander Herrera to leave Manchester United for free
Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has confirmed that he will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season after spending 5 seasons at the club.
The midfielder, who made the switch to Man Utd in 2014 from Athletic Bilbao, has made 132 appearances so far for the Red Devils in the Premier League and has scored 12 goals for the club. He is expected to feature in the club’s last game of the season against Cardiff City on Sunday.
The 29 year old has won the Europa League, League cup, Community shield and FA cup during his time at Old Trafford.
Herrera’s negotiations with Manchester United fell through after the club refused to match his wage demands of £200,000 per week – a massive increase from his current wage of £60,000 per week. He is expected to join French giants PSG where he is reportedly set to earn £160,000 per week and challenge for major honours.
