Ander Herrera to PSG is a done deal despite Athletic Bilbao’s late offer
Manchester United are set to lose Ander Herrera for free in the summer with PSG having reached an agreement to sign the midfielder who won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award in 2017. As per reports from RMC sport, Ander Herrera will be a PSG player next season. The only remaining detail the club and the player are discussing is the length of the contract which will either be 4 or 5 years.
The midfielder opted not to renew his contract with Manchester United despite having made 25 appearances for the Red Devils this season. PSG emerged as front-runners for the 29 year old’s signature but the French champions were not happy at Herrera making them wait to get his signature despite verbally agreeing to join the French giants.
Atheltic Bilbao came in with a late offer for the midfielder who used to play for them between 2011 and 2014. The midfielder reached the Copa Del Rey and the Europa League finals with the Spanish club.
However, PSG’s offer is reportedly a big one around £200,000 a week and the Ligue 1 Champions can offer him Champions League football next season. According to reports from France, Atheltic Bilbao will miss out on the ambitious midfielder who has decided to join the French Champions.
