Neil Warnock loathes Liverpool – Can his Cardiff City stop the Reds?
Despite the good comments he gave for this Liverpool side that is competing with Man City for the Premier League title, Neil Warnock has had so many feuds with Liverpool players and staff, and has called the club ‘A disgrace’.
It all started way back during his reign at Sheffield United when he accused Liverpool defender Stephane Henchoz of spitting at him – a claim that the defender and the former Liverpool Manager Gerard Houllier have denied.
Liverpool were accused of the Cardiff Manager of promising him to loan Clyne out to Cardiff but never telling him that they changed their mind and he had to learn from TV that Clyne was instead sent out on loan to Bournemouth. Commenting on Liverpool, Neil told reporters “For me, it’s a disgrace and just a lack of class” for changing their mind and not having the decency to tell him about it.
Now, his Cardiff side would face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool who are just four wins away from winning their first Premier League title if Man City slip. It is safe to say that the manager has no love for Liverpool and would love to spoil their party. Cardiff also can’t afford to lose points anymore as they are currently in the relegation zone three points adrift of Brighton.
Not many side in the Premier League posses the physicality of this Cardiff City, which can make the game tough for the travelling Reds. If Cardiff do end the first sixty minutes without a goal from Liverpool, nerves can kick in and the evening could be Cardiff’s.
Would Neil have the last laugh on Sunday?
