Timo Werner to leave RB Leipzig for Bayern Munchen
RB Leipzig striker Timo Werener has agreed to join Bayern Munchen as per reports from German publication SportsBild. The striker who played for Germany thrice in 2018 has scored 14 goals and 5 goals this season for RB Leipzig. The German is contracted to RB Leipzig until 2020 but want to extend his current contract or sell him for the right price this summer than lose him for free in the next summer.
“We have made it known to him about the contract extension but he has signaled to us that he would rather not extend.
RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff told Sky at the half-time break of the Bundesliga game against Vfl Wolfsburg.
We’ll have to see what’s right for us and Timo.”
Defending German Champions Bayern Munchen are reportedly interested in the 23 year old and the same publication claims they have reached an agreement with the player already. RB Leipzig are expected to demand a high transfer fee for the German after his excellent campaign this season.
