West Ham could sell Declan Rice for the right price

Declan Rice’s impressive displays for West Ham has sparked the interest of top clubs including Manchester City and Manchester United. After his composed debut for England, his market value got higher. The 20 year old switched his international allegiance from Ireland to England and helped the team win their Euro qualifiers against Czech Republic and Montenegro.

When West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini was questioned about Rice’s future at the club, the manager surprised everyone by admitting they would listen to good offers.

“In that case (transfer) as always it’s just a matter of price. Maybe the big teams decide to pay an important amount of money. If it’s a good deal for the club and it’s a good deal for the player and he improves with his career, they can do it.

With Rice contracted to West Ham until 2024, Manuel Pellegrini’s admission should encourage all potential suitors. With Fernandinho already 34 and Gundagon stalling contract negotiations, Pep Guardiola might consider bidding for Rice who would qualify as a home grown player.
