Alexis Sanchez maybe out for 8 weeks – Manchester United Injury Update
Pedro Oñate, the physiotherapist of Chile’s national team confirmed that Alexis Sanchez damaged the ligaments in his right knee during United’s match against Southampton which they won 3-2.
Oñate told the El Mercurio newspaper in Chile “We communicated with Sánchez, he has had his scans and that’s the injury – there will be no problems for him to play in the Copa América because it will be six to eight weeks without playing”.
The Manchester United Manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is expected to provide more updates on the injury before United’s clash against PSG in the Champions League.
There are fears that the Chilean could be out for upto 8 weeks. The Manchester United Winger is the top most earner at Old Trafford but he has struggled to hit top form after his move from Arsenal. If Alexis doesn’t make the recovery on time, he might not feature in Ole’s plans for the rest of the season and could depart the club in the summer.
