Deulofeu: Man United are not at Barcelona’s level
With Manchester United set to host Barcelona on Wednesday in the Champions League, former Barcelona attacker Gerard Deulofeu feels that the Catalan club are favourites to beat Manchester United and progress to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. The La Masia graduate came on as a second half substitute in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley and inspired Watford to a 3-2 comeback win over Wolves.
In his recent interview to Marca, Gerard Deulofeu admitted that Manchester United have improved under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but thinks Barcelona are clear favourites.
“They (Man Utd) have improved, but Barcelona are favourites. If they play well, they could win the tie.
Barcelona are very good, in good form, and they have the best (players) who can fix any situation, like the other day (versus Atletico Madrid).
Manchester United are at a good level, but not Barcelona’s. Old Trafford is a historical and very beautiful ground to play at. There will be a very good atmosphere but I see it very clearly that Barcelona are favourites.I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong, but I see it very clearly.
Deulofeu told Marca
