Hazard agrees personal terms with Real Madrid
Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard has agreed personal terms with Spanish giants Real Madrid as per reports from French TV network TF1’s football program Téléfoot. The Belgian has previously admitted he is a fan of Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane and labelled a move to the Spanish giants as ‘a dream move’.
With Hazard’s contract expiring in the summer of 2020, the Belgian has not accepted a new contract from the West London club. Chelsea’s transfer ban has been Hazard’s only concern. His principle of not leaving the club in times of trouble is stopping the Belgium captain from forcing through a move to the Spanish capital. Despite that, he seems to have made up his mind in the last few weeks on not to renew his current contract with the club at which he won two Premier League titles.
If Téléfoot’s report is to be believed, Hazard is just one of the many top starts that Zidane has targeted to rebuild his squad after the Spanish capital outfit’s catastrophic season. Real Madrid are also linked with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Despite Hazard agreeing personal terms with Real Madrid, the English club won’t accept a transfer fee less than £100 million and Real Madrid value the 28 year old Belgian at £85 million. Chelsea are considering bids for either Barcelona attacker Coutinho or LOSC Lille winger Nicolas Pepe who is also being courted by Arsenal, PSG and Liverpool.
