Eriksen prefers move to Real Madrid over Man United

With his contract set to expire in the summer of 2020, the 27 year old has stalled the contract negotiations and Spurs would rather sell him this summer for a transfer fee than risk losing him for free next season. Zinedine Zidane is certainly going to revamp the Real Madrid squad in the summer after their dismal campaign that saw two managers getting dismissed before the return of the Frenchman. Tottenham’s Eriksen is reportedly high on Zidane’s wishlist.

Manchester United are set to end the season trophyless after Barcelona thrashed them 4-0 over the course of two legs in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an admirer of Christian Eriksen and Manchester United are monitoring his situation at Spurs.

The Spanish daily AS claims Christian Eriksen prefers a move to Real Madrid over Manchester United. Tottenham Hotspur’s Chariman Daniel Levy also doesn’t want to lose a prolific midfielder to an English rival that competes for top 4 and prefers offloading him to an overseas club. Real Madrid enjoy a good relationship with Tottenham after completing the signings of Modric and Bale in the past, which makes them the favourites for the Danish midfielder’s signature.
