Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas admitted in hospital after suffering heart attack
Real Madrid legend and Porto captain Iker Casillas collapsed in the Porto training ground and was rushed to the hospital. The legendary goal keeper is now stable after undergoing surgery.
“Iker Casillas suffered an acute myocardial infarction during Wednesday morning training session held at the Training Center in Olival”, Porto FC stated on their website.
The World cup winning Spanish captain has played 1000s of games and has won three Champions League trophies with Real Madrid. He has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or in the past.
The 37 year old goal keeper is set to miss the rest of his season and is recovering at Hospital CUF in Porto. Casillas is contracted to Porto until 2020 with the option of renewing the deal for 1 more year. Hopefully, the Spanish legend recovers soon and makes his appearance in the football field next year. We, at Los Mejor, wish him a speedy recovery.
