Bournemouth have accepted a £41m bid from Man City for Nathan Ake
Nathan Ake - Bournemouth
Having been relegated, Bournemouth were widely expected to part ways with star defender Nathan Ake. The Cherries have accepted a £41m bid from Manchester City for the 25 year old centre-back.
Man City are in the hunt for potentially two centre-backs to bring the Premier League title back to the Etihad Stadium. Without buying a replacement for Kompany last season turned out to be disastrous for the Citizens after Laporte’s injury. Pep Guardiola is not willing to make the same mistake again and the Etihad outfit are making crucial signings early.
City’s local rivals Man Utd were also interested in signing the centre-back but Nathan Ake would rather move to Man City where he has a chance of winning more trophies under Pep.
Pep Guardiola’s Man City are also close to bringing Ferran Torres to the Etihad stadium having agreed a 22.6m fee for the Spanish winger. Man City are also linked with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and have had a bid of £65m rejected by the Italian side. This window will be a busy window for the Citizens.
