Pogba determined to join Real Madrid in the summer
After publicly flaunting his love for Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane, the French midfielder Paul Pogba is determined to leave Manchester United and join the Spanish giants in the summer.
According to L’Equipe, Pogba has told his Manchester United team-mates that he will be leaving in the summer to play for a club that regularly features in the Champions League. Manchester United are currently at sixth spot in the Premier League and do not have their ‘top 4’ fate in their own hands.
The report also adds that Manchester United won’t stand in the midfielder’s way if Real Madrid match their valuation of Pogba. Real Madrid are in advanced talks with the midfielder who has reportedly met his idol Zidane to discuss about the proposed move to the Spanish capital.
While the midfielder was considering his options earlier, he now seems to have made his mind up on leaving the club after the their humiliating 4-0 loss to Everton. The 26 year old expressed his frustration by claiming the performance of the players was disrespectful to the fans and the club.
“Losing 4-0 as well, I am not disrespecting Everton, but the way we played and the performance of myself, of the team, of everyone is disrespectful”.
“We can lose games, but with a good performance and pride. When you wear this shirt, you have to work and respect the culture, the history of this club and give everything”.Pogba told Sky Sports after Man United’s humiliating loss to Everton
“We didn’t respect ourselves, the club or the fans. What we did on the pitch is not respectful for the team-mates, for the staff, for the people, for the kit man, for everyone”.
Real Madrid are also targeting another player currently playing his trade in the Premier League. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has reportedly agreed personal terms with Real Madrid. The Spanish capital outfit are planning to overhaul their squad after their horrid season that saw two managers getting sacked and Zidane returning to the club to bring back some much needed stability at the Santiago Bernabeu.
