Real Madrid to launch €130m bid for Erling Haaland after agreeing personal terms
Spanish giants Real Madrid have made Erling Haaland their numero uno target after Kylian Mbappe looks set to stay at PSG. Los Blancos have already agreed personal terms with the striker, LosMejor has learnt.
New boss Carlo Ancellotti has asked Perez to sanction multiple transfers including the sale of Luka Jovic, Dani Cabellos and Gareth Bale in order to raise funds for Haaland.
As of now, Real Madrid are prepared to pay Borussia Dortmind upto €130m to land the highly-rated forward. In the 2020-21 season, Haaland scored 41goals in as many appearance and that has attracted interest for the striker particularly from England with Manchester City and Chelsea keeping tabs.
As revealed by us earlier, Chelsea had offered Borussia Dortmund €80-85m plus Tammy Abraham for Haaland but that bid was immediately rejected by the German outfit. The German club have publicly maintained they want to keep Haaland for one more season especially with Sancho close to leaving the club for Man Utd in a deal that would be over €100m including bonuses.
Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has encouraged clubs to pursue Haaland in this window despite Dortmund’s stance that Haaland won’t be sold. With Haaland’s reported exit clause coming live next season, it won’t be a surprise if Dortmund sanction his sale for €130m but with multiple clubs showing interest, Real Madrid may not be able to secure Haaland’s signature until late in the window.
Manchester City decided to go for Harry Kane as their first option and that has given both Real Madrid and Chelsea the edge in the pursuit of Erling Haaland. However, Man City could enter the race late if they fail to land Harry Kane.
Chelsea’s interest has also been concrete but the player prefers a move to Real Madrid over Stamford bridge as per sources. Chelsea have also been given encouragement from Raiola as he tries to secure a big money move this window for his player.
At this point, Real Madrid are ahead in the race for Erling Haaland after having agreed personal terms. Their bid will be closer to Dortmund’s valuation of the player and Perez’s relationship with Raiola could be crucial in the upcoming weeks as Los Blancos chase their primary target.
